This listing is for the depicted loose gemstone that I personally precision faceted on my custom-made lapidary equipment
• 2.8 carats
• 9.2mm in length, 8.6mm in width, and 4.9mm in depth
• Cut in my own galaxy dodecagon design
• Heat Treated
• Naturally occurring corundum (sapphire)
• Inclusions visible
Detailed Gem Description:
A natural and heat-treated corundum (sapphire) with a dominant yellowish Green hue, a medium to medium dark tone, and brownish saturation. The brown color is attributed to the silk inclusions. Initially, it was a very dark green/blue and brown that was borderline opaque in some lighting. After heat treatment, it opened up to a nice olive green/brown. The silk inclusions are still dominant, but the overall tone of the gem is now closer to medium.
See the last graphic for reference on how I graded these. To maintain originality, I made the reference graphics with gems of my own design but it is based on GIA's color description system.
Photos were taken in daylight with a blue sky overhead and under a microscope. The first four videos were taken in daylight with the sun overhead, a blue sky, and scattered clouds. The last few scenes in the fourth video are inside in passive lighting and under my overhead LED lights. The outdoor scenes in the fifth video were taken on an overcast day. Please review all the videos thoroughly.
