This is a brilliant, open-toned bi-color tourmaline.  The color split is clearly defined and visible in all lighting. This tourmaline exhibited a spring green color along the AB axis and a yellowish green color along the C axis.  It is infrequent that pleochroism is this well defined in tourmaline, so it is a real treat when it happens. This will make a stunning centerpiece to any piece of jewelry or a high-value addition to a personal collection.

This is a brilliant, open-toned mint sapphire. It is very similar to sapphires from the El Dorado Bar in Montana, with a more teal/green leaning hue indoors and a more blue leaning hue in daylight. Inclusions are visible under magnification, and in some lighting, the rutile silk will reflect, giving an almost holographic appearance. This holographic effect can be viewed in some of the videos with direct sunlight.  If you're looking for a 2-carat clean sapphire, this could fit the bill! It will make a stunning centerpiece.

Detailed Gem Description:

A natural and heat-treated zoisite var. Tanzanite with a dominant violet hue, a medium tone, and moderately strong to strong saturation.  This is an open-tone gem, it will glow and sparkle in any lighting!

See the last graphic for reference on how I graded these. To maintain originality, I made the reference graphics with gems of my own design but it is based on GIA's color description system.

Photos were taken in daylight and under a microscope.  The first four videos were taken in daylight with the sun overhead and a blue sky. The last few scenes in the fourth video are inside in passive lighting and under my overhead LED lights. The outdoor scenes in the fifth video were taken on an overcast day.   Please review all the videos thoroughly.

This gem has one healed secondary fluid inclusion, It can be seen on the flat edge opposing the point.  It looks like a milky white streak. The reference photos were taken in 4x magnification under direct and darkfield illumination.

This listing is for both rings, the diamond ring and the fitted wraparound band

• The center setting on the depicted ring is 9x5.5 mm in diameter. I will pick a VS clarity diamond that is closest to the listed dimensions and weight depending on what is currently available from the cutter. I pick to please!

• You will get a conflict-free VS2- VS1 Clarity diamond that is in-between 0.48-0.55 carats in weight. Exact specs will depend on what is currently available from the diamond cutter. The diamond will come with a GIA (Gemological Institute of America) grading report. A GIA serial laser inscription is available upon request, however, it won't be visible once set in the bezel. A laser inscription may add another week or two to the production time of this ring.
