Overall this is a darker toned sapphire with an electric shade of blue. It is dominantly blue in daylight and indoors, however it has hints of green under certain artificial lighting. The body tone leans dark in passive lighting with flashes of blue visible as it catches the light. This gem has a medium dark to dark tone in most lighting but will open up to a brilliant blue gem in a direct light.
