Its not often that I'm offered purple sapphires worth faceting. This is one of the rarer ones. None of my cameras accurately depicted this one in daylight. The indoor scenes of the gem in the clip (on hand) and in the acrylic case depict what the gem will look like to the human eye. Even in daylight, I saw purple while the camera saw violet. This might depend on the overhead lighting, like a blue sky or an overcast day. But overall I see a lilac/purple gem instead of a violet gem but I did see a hint of violet under a blue sky. Expect a dominantly purple/lilac gem.
