• Naturally occurring corundum (sapphire)
Detailed Gem Description:
A natural and untreated corundum (sapphire) with a split hue - blue and green. The split hue is clearly visible with an overhead light or in daylight. In passive and low-lighting environments it is a dominant green with only a hint of blue. It has a medium-dark tone and moderately strong saturation. It is eye-clean! A few inclusions can be viewed under magnification, see the microscopy report below for more details.
This is definitely somebody's dream sapphire, I'm in awe how it turned out. My initial impression during cutting was it would be a dark forest green with no secondary hue, then I was astounded after I removed the wax and revealed a split hue parti sapphire. Faceting sapphires is never dull!

Photos were taken in daylight exclusively. Videos were taken outdoors under a blue sky with the sun overhead, additional videos were taken indoors in passive lighting, under my overhead led lights, and by a window. Please review all the videos thoroughly.

• Microscopy Report:
There are several small fluid-filled fractures underneath the crown closer to the endpoint. Two of these surface on the crown facets. These are not visible without magnification. If you zoom in on the photomicrographs you can see the delineated microfluidic channels where the fluid once resided. See the photomicrographs for reference.
