Detailed Gem Description:
A natural and untreated garnet that has a slightly purplish Red hue, a medium dark tone, and moderately saturation. It is eye-clean!
See the last four photos for reference on how I graded these. To maintain originality, I personally made the reference graphics with gems of my own design but it is based on GIA's color description system.
Photos were taken in daylight exclusively. Videos were taken outdoors under a blue sky with the sun overhead, additional videos were taken indoors in passive lighting, under my overhead LED lights, and by a window. Please review all the videos thoroughly.
Gemstone Rough Country of Origin: Tanzania
Cutter: Sennin
• Microscopy Report:
I observed one single rutile needle and a few very small imperfections. Nothing particularly noteworthy. This garnet is a mix of almandine and pyrope garnet.
