This listing is for the depicted loose gemstone that I personally precision faceted on my custom-made lapidary equipment
• 1.8 carats • 8.8mm from corner to corner and 8mm from flat to flat • Cut in my own symmetrical octagonal design • Quartz - Split hue, amethyst/citrine
Detailed Gem Description:
So this was the test cut on the new faceting machine that I personally custom-made, looks great right?!! This is a light-toned gem, indoors its mostly a light purple and the split hue is very subtle. In daylight, it is more pronounced. Officially, this gem has a split hue between purple and yellow with a dominant purple hue. It has a light to very light tone and slightly grayish saturation. This is an open-tone gem, it will glow and sparkle in any lighting!
See the last four photos for reference on how I graded these. To maintain originality, I personally made the reference graphics with gems of my own design but it is based on GIA's color description system.
Photos were taken in daylight exclusively. Videos were taken outdoors under a blue sky with the sun overhead, additional videos were taken indoors in passive lighting, under my overhead led lights, and by a window. Please review all the videos thoroughly.
Gemstone Rough Country of Origin: Likely Bolivia* * I purchased the uncut piece before I started faceting gems and it came tumbled, I can speculate it came from Bolivia but I don't know for sure or very much more about it * Cutter: Sennin
