This gem is dominantly violet in daylight and purple indoors. The yellow hue visible near the edges can be seen with a polarizing filter. The visible yellow hue is a marker that this gem has not undergone heat treatment. There are two inclusions visible without magnification, only one can be observed from face-up view. This is a larger gem; it will make a stunning centerpiece to any ring or necklace.
