• This was a two-part faceting project between Leah & myself
• Uncut gem sourced from Tanzania

• Medium to medium light tone
• The locals call this variety of garnet "tangawizi" meaning ginger colored

This is a stunning open-toned garnet. It will glow and sparkle in low lighting and explode with fiery sparkle under sunlight. Inclusions are visible, but it is mostly clean. Malaya means "out of family" so it's not a typical pyrope/almandine (rhodolite) mix or a strict spessartite variety, hence the alternative ginger color. It will make a stunning centerpiece to a ring or pendant.
