Gemological description: An untreated tourmaline with a slightly purplish-red hue, a light tone and moderately strong saturation
• My student Leah Acosta faceted this gem in her workshop in Eagle Nest, New Mexico. I think she did a fantastic job!! She was able to cut an eye clean gem, typical of tourmaline some small imperfections are visible under magnification.
