A very classic unheated tanzanite. In most lighting I find this gem to be dominantly purple with a hint of yellow around the long edges. Under a blue sky there can be a hint of blue in the body color but generally I see a purple gem with yellow around the edges. There is a small inclusion visible under magnification. This is an open toned gem, it will glow and sparkle in any lighting!
