Gemstone Rough Country of Origin: Kenya
My student Leah Acosta faceted this gem in her workshop in Eagle Nest, New Mexico!
Unique attributes: Visibly Included, this gem is less than perfect but still absolutely gorgeous. It is bluish green with a medium dark tone and vivid saturation. It is a perfect sized ring stone. This was my students first sapphire, the table is slightly off center to the pavilion and there are a few areas where the polish isn't perfect. Its priced appropriately, I think this gem is still miles better than most commercial sapphires I've looked at throughout my jewelry career. If you love that color and don't mind a few imperfections then this is a find!
GIA laboratory report available for an additional $120
