• Detailed Gem Description:
A natural and untreated dichroic Oregon sunstone (feldspar). It has a medium tone & moderately strong saturation. This gem is eye clean, there is a small wisp of schiller visible under the crown at an angle. This is an open-tone gem, it will glow and sparkle in any light. The color is due to dichroism, as you rotate and tilt it, the orange/yellow color will appear in more areas of the gem and it will be visible all the way to the center point from some angles. Typically one color dominates but in this rare instance I was able to capture both and facet a multi-color gem.
Photos and videos were taken outdoors under a blue sky with the sun overhead, additional videos were taken indoors in passive lighting, under my overhead led lights, and by a window. Please review all the videos thoroughly.

• Microscopy Report:
This sunstone has one very small cluster of schiller (copper platelets) underneath the table, it can be viewed at a steep angle. The photo and animation depict this up close. Most of this cluster wasn't perpendicular to the camera lens so I wasn't able to capture an ultra-crisp image but I was able to capture the essence. The animation displays the edge of the inclusion and the micro copper platelets that this inclusion is composed of.
**Please note, I will only set this gem in 14kt rose gold or 18kt yellow gold as my other alloys may require too much force to safely set this gem.
