This listing is for the depicted loose gemstone that I personally precision cut on my lapidary equipment
• 0.88 carats
• 6.1mm from corner to corner, 5mm from flat to flat and 3.6mm in depth (low profile)
• Cut in my own fantasy octagon design
• Untreated
• Naturally occurring
• Corundum (sapphire)
• One of a kind, I was able to remove all the imperfections in the viewing area and cut an eye clean sapphire! Minor imperfections typical of sapphire can be viewed under magnification. A perfect sized sapphire for a petite ring!
• Gemological description: A natural untreated corundum (sapphire) with multiple hues visible: bluish violet and bluish green under a blue sky, purple and greenish yellow under an overcast sky or passive indoor lighting. It has a very light tone and grayish saturation. This is an open color sapphire, it will glow in any light!
Note: In most lighting scenarios it will look silvery blue or even purple with a light yellowish stripe through it, under a blue sky or under certain LED lights it will appear mostly blue with a slightly greenish blue stripe through it. I wouldn't classify this as a traditional color changing gem, I interpret the blue as a reflection.
Gemstone Rough Country of Origin: Tanzania
Cutter: Sennin
