This listing is for the depicted loose gemstone that I personally precision faceted on my custom-made lapidary equipment
• 0.98 carats
• 6.2mm in length, 5.1mm in width, and 3.6mm in total depth
• Cut in my own octagonal design
• Unheated/untreated
• Naturally occurring corundum (sapphire)
Detailed Gem Description:
A natural and untreated corundum (sapphire) with a dominant Blue to bluish Violet hue, a secondary violetish Purple hue, and a slight color shift to a very strongly bluish Green hue with off-center viewing. In daylight, the color shift is very distinct. It has a light tone and slightly grayish saturation. Many Inclusions typical of sapphire from this locality can be observed under magnification. This is an open tone sapphire, it will glow and sparkle in any lighting!
See the last four photos for reference on how I graded these. To maintain originality, I personally made the reference graphics with gems of my own design but it is based on GIA's color description system.
Photos were taken in daylight exclusively. Videos were taken outdoors under a blue sky with the sun overhead, additional videos were taken indoors in passive lighting, under my overhead led lights, and by a window. Please review all the videos thoroughly.
