This listing is for the depicted loose gemstone that I personally precision faceted on my custom-made lapidary equipment.
• 2.3carats • 9.5mm in length, 6.6mm in width, and 5mm in total depth • Cut in my own hexagonal design • Unheated/untreated
Detailed Gem Description:
A natural and untreated garnet that has a Red Purple/ Purple Red hue, a medium tone, and strong saturation. It is eye-clean! I really had to think about it, but I did end up awarding this garnet a medium tone. It is slightly darker than medium tone but not quite medium-dark. A true gem among garnets as it will glow and sparkle in all lighting and still show an exceptional depth of color without looking too dark in passive and low-light environments. See the last two photos for reference on how I graded these. To maintain originality, I personally made the reference graphics with gems of my own design but it is based on GIA's color description system.
Photos were taken in daylight exclusively. Videos were taken outdoors under a blue sky with the sun overhead, additional videos were taken indoors in passive lighting, under my overhead LED lights, and by a window. Please review all the videos thoroughly.

• Microscopy Report: I observed some sparse sugar-type inclusions off to one end and a few scattered needles (likely rutile). This garnet is a mix of almandine and pyrope garnet.
