• Naturally occurring
• Sapphire/Corundum
• Detailed Gem Description:
A natural and untreated corundum (sapphire) with a bluish Green to greenish Blue hue depending on the lighting. It has a medium-light tone & very slightly grayish saturation. This gem is very clean for an unheated Montana sapphire, some inclusions are visible, see the microscopy report below for details. This is an open-tone sapphire, it will glow and sparkle in any light. Indoors it has a more dominant green appearance, in daylight it has a more dominant blue appearance.
Photos and videos were taken outdoors under a blue sky with the sun overhead, additional videos were taken indoors in passive lighting, under my overhead led lights, and by a window. Please review all the videos thoroughly.
Gemstone Rough Country of Origin: El Dorado Bar in Montana, USA
Cutter: Sennin
• Microscopy Report:
This sapphire features one hexagonal rutile silk formation. This is a classic indicator inclusion of corundum from Montana and its crisp in tact appearance is a marker that it has not undergone heat treatment. The photo and animation depict this inclusion clearly. This inclusion is a mirror image of what the uncut sapphire looked like.
