This listing is for the depicted loose gemstone that I personally precision cut on my lapidary equipment
• 4.8 carats • 12.1mm in length, 8.1mm in width and 7.6mm in depth • Cut in my own hexagonal fantasy spiral galaxy design. All the facets spiral inwards towards the centerpoint • Untreated • Naturally occurring • Rubellite Tourmaline • Unique attributes: Gorgeous sunburst of colors visible.
Gemological description: A natural tourmaline with a dominant reddish purple hue with a reddish orange and yellow hue visible as well. It has a medium light tone with vivid saturation. It is eye clean, a few minor imperfections typical of tourmaline can be viewed under magnification.
Photos and videos were taken on two separate days. The photos and videos with the more pinkish hue were on an overcast day with no sunlight. The more purple hue was on a sunny day with a blue sky. Sunlight makes this material glow and brings out all of the visible colors.
Gemstone Rough Country of Origin: Russia (pre-conflict)
The rough gem material was sponsored by Ales from the Ravenstein Gem Co.
